A teak bench is the perfect addition to any indoor or outdoor space. Teak benches are perfect for patios, covered porches, or garden areas. They make a great addition to a full set of teak patio furniture or as an accent piece in an entryway. Teak benches can make great places for people to remove their shoes before stepping into your home. Teak is a light brown colored tropical hardwood that begins to turn grey with age.

Work benches that are employed in work that demands many implements may have more provisions for easy mounting, storage, and access of tools.
Most indoor benches are wood, or they have at least some wood in them. The first thing to think about when selecting a bench is the type and color of the wood you already have in your home. If the bench will go in a room where you have other furniture, try to match the wood of the bench with the other pieces. If it will go in an entryway or hallway, then think about what other things are around them.

As with all quality wood furniture, it is necessary to clean your teak bench periodically. The best way to clean a teak bench is with a mixture of detergent, water, and bleach.
